Stay updated for the next round of internship opportunities!

You're awesome. We're awesome.

We should meet.

We are looking for the next wave of curious interns that are eager to make a direct impact in their local community. We’re not looking for someone with tons of experience or the highest grades (low grades actually impress us, too!), but we value someone who has a heart that cares for others and is excited to make things happen. If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to know more about you!

Intern Responsibilities

This is a general breakdown of some of the tasks that you might be involved in as an intern. Hopefully we can teach you a thing or two, but most likely you'll be teaching us a lot!

Administrative

Organizing, color coordinating, getting stuff done and all that Marie Kondo-ness (if you know, you know).

Graphic Design

Be a creative genius with an eye for sleek, fun and on-brand design. Work with the team to come up with great content.

Strategy/ Research

Stay in the loop with what's going on in the neighborhood.  Help develop new ideas and programs for the community.

Editorial

Tell stories from our community. Get in touch with your inner journalist/detective and discover our neighborhood through storytelling.

Marketing/Social Media

Find cool, creative ways to let people know what we're up to. Strategize and scheme with the team to reach just the right people.

Event Planning

Brainstorm, plan and execute events together with the team. Get hands on with all the nitty-gritty details that go into executing a successful event.

Requirements

- Currently in your Freshman/Sophomore year in College or Junior/Senior year in High School

- Committed to working part-time and be at the office at least 2 days a week, preferably 3 days a week (6-9hrs/week)
- Able to travel to our office in Elmhurst, Queens
- Have an open heart (figuratively) about working in a quirky, close-knit team

- Familiar with the Elmhurst community and the surrounding neighborhood - a plus!
